GLA Community Property Committee Minutes and Documents
What does the GLA Community Property Committee do? The Community Property Committee helps the Board care for the land and facilities held for the community's benefit. The GLA owns or holds rights to four parcels in North and South Glastonbury. Two provide recreational opportunities: the soccer fields in North Glastonbury and the common-use land in the southwest corner of High South. Within the authority assigned by the Board, the committee helps identify maintenance needs, recommend repairs and improvements, and consider ways to keep community property useful and accessible for its intended purposes. Its recommendations must respect the Covenants, the GLA's property rights, and any restrictions that apply to the land. Article VI of the Bylaws gives the Board responsibility for managing community property and requires committees to keep minutes of attendance and actions. Decisions requiring Board or landowner approval must receive that approval before proceeding.
